extreme weather due to upsetting the gods

I was reading the internet and found this:

This global deep freeze is all part of the extreme weather now being
unleashed on the planet due to human beings polluting the world and
altering the atmosphere

I see more and more people talking like that.

it gets me thinking that most people that are watching the weather are having the same reaction that people long ago had,
they think that they have upset the gods and are now having to pay some price unless they make some sort of sacrifice,
the only things that have changed are what is sacrificed,
now we must sacrifice money to the government, and our life style.

I think that it is the same part of the brain at work here,
anyone else see the same connection ?

If you want to connect to this thinking talk to any vegan .  For years I have been hearing from people that the planet is going to fail because of pollution/....name whatever you want.   The truth is not something you can tell someone who believes...they have to believe , they have to be the guilty one for not taking the bus/train eating meat ...just a little  ...etc...

The minority of people that believe in GW as a religion is frightening. They have always believed though.  The change from warming to climate change, like Hitlers move from left to right , does not disenchant the true believer since the Fuhrer is always the most correct.

The Haitians were meant to suffer , the weather is retribution from God ... the disconnect from any reality seems to be getting larger.

The ice core sampling in Greenland showed one thing.  The past five hundred years was the most stable weather for the last ten thousand years. We are now back to normal , which is volatile. I think the gods are angry for people being so fucking stupid.

I think more people these days are making that connection.

Like any good superstition there is truth in it.

Us and our society that lives in such fragile energy intensive ways meet reality and entropy.
